About Bloop – music, film, arts, travel and ideas magazine

What is Bloop?

‘Bloop’ was an ultra-low-frequency and extremely powerful underwater sound detected by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in 1997.

Bloop magazine is an independent publication set up in the spirit of that discovery, detecting the most interesting and powerful underground, low-frequency cultural happenings.

What can I find on Bloop?

We cover music, art, film, ideas and cultural travel that doesn’t register on the mainstream radar.

Oddities, uniqueness, challenging works, acts of revolution from the past, present and into the future is what Bloop is all about covering.

Both forward, and backward, thinking Bloop is about connecting the best culture of now with the unique works of the past that might have been forgotten or overlooked.
